As a Kafka Platform Engineer / Operations Specialist, you will ensure the stability and reliable operation of business-critical integration platforms. Your focus will be on administering and supporting Apache Kafka and Axway SecureTransport, resolving incidents, troubleshooting technical issues, performing maintenance and operational improvements, and supporting secure data exchange with external partners.

• Operate and maintain the Apache Kafka platform
• Monitor platform stability, availability, and performance
• Troubleshoot incidents and perform root-cause analysis
• Support Axway SecureTransport and secure external data exchange
• Handle maintenance, upgrades, and operational improvements
• Automate recurring operational tasks
• Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, application, and security teams

Our client is a leading Swiss financial services organisation with an international footprint and a strong focus on technology, security, and operational excellence. You will join a professional Data Integration Platform team responsible for reliable and secure enterprise data flows.

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a comparable technical qualification; equivalent hands-on experience is also welcome.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience with Apache Kafka administration and operations
• Experience with Axway SecureTransport
• Strong troubleshooting and production support skills
• Solid DevOps, automation, Linux, and monitoring knowledge
• Experience in complex enterprise environments
• Independent, reliable, and structured way of working
• Financial services experience is a strong advantage
• English Fluent & German is a strong Advantage.
