Senior Business Analyst – Infrastructure & Corporate Applications
Are you a senior, hands-on Business Analyst who can bring structure to complex technology initiatives, improve delivery backlogs and confidently operate between business stakeholders, engineers and application support teams?
We are looking for a pragmatic and delivery-focused Senior Business Analyst for an initial six-month contract.
You will support Product Owners and technology teams by translating business needs into clear, prioritised and testable requirements. You will play an active role across the full delivery lifecycle, from discovery and backlog refinement through testing, implementation and ongoing operational support.
This is not a purely documentation-focused position. The successful candidate will be comfortable taking ownership, challenging unclear requirements and moving between change initiatives and business-as-usual application support.
- Partner with Product Owners to manage, refine and prioritise product backlogs.
- Lead requirements workshops, discovery sessions and backlog refinement meetings.
- Translate complex or ambiguous business needs into clear and actionable requirements.
- Create user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows and supporting documentation.
- Ensure user stories meet agreed Definition of Ready standards.
- Work closely with engineers, vendors and business stakeholders to clarify scope, dependencies and delivery risks.
- Define test scenarios and coordinate User Acceptance Testing.
- Validate delivered solutions against agreed requirements and business outcomes.
- Support defect triage, prioritisation and resolution.
- Provide second-line business support for applications and technology services.
- Investigate incidents, service requests and recurring operational issues.
- Coordinate with business users, technical teams and external vendors to resolve issues.
- Maintain operational documentation, support procedures and knowledge articles.
- Identify recurring service issues and convert them into improvement opportunities.
- Communicate progress, risks, decisions and recommendations clearly.
- Support change adoption, training and transition into business-as-usual operations.
Location: Zurich (3 days a week onsite)
Contract: Initial 6-month contract
Extension: Possibility of extension
