Job Function Summary
The successful candidate will support the Equities Volatility business through robust derivatives trade management and post-trade operations oversight. They will manage the end-to-end lifecycle for listed derivatives activity, ensuring accurate trade capture, allocations, clearing, reconciliations, and exception resolution. The role requires strong control discipline, stakeholder management, and the ability to operate effectively in a high-volume, risk-sensitive environment.
Principal Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end listed derivatives trade lifecycle, including trade capture, allocations, clearing, and position management.
- Monitor and resolve exchange vs. books and records breaks across trades, positions, and cash.
- Manage internal and external position transfers, give-ups / give-ins, and clearing broker coordination.
- Support regulatory and exchange reporting requirements, including control enhancements and exception management.
- Partner with PMs, trading desks, brokers, exchanges, and internal teams to ensure accurate operational support.
- Drive STP improvement, process efficiency, and operational scalability across the platform.
Qualifications/Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree from a university or equivalent and qualification
- 10+ years’ experience in listed derivatives operations, trade management, clearing, and reconciliations.
- Strong knowledge of exchange-traded derivatives lifecycle and post-trade controls across EMEA and as well as US markets.
- Experience managing exceptions, regulatory reporting, and exchange / CCP-related operational processes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across trading, client service, compliance, brokers, and vendors.
- Experience working across global teams and supporting change, migrations, and new product onboarding.
